You hit the nail on the head OP. The extremely rational fan base of Bama is the cornerstone for the greatest CFB dynasty in the modern era. Better start channeling those negative vibes or the whole ship may just sink.

I've never understood why fans find it necessary to lecture fans. Is there some code of conduct/ethics I am not aware of?

Have a seat silver. Article 16, Section 25.89N (a-e), of the Code of Fan Responsibility clearly states that whereupon a fan/fanbase fails to see eye to eye with their lone outcast then said outcast is to put in writing his/her grievance and publicly post said grievance for a period of no less than 3 business days. Publication must be persuasive to the point of reaching and convincing a majority of directed upon fanbase to enter into agreement with outcast whereby grievant becomes incast.
Should grievant fail in their pursuit of effectively influencing fellow fans then he/she shall be banned from the island and directed to select, within 7 days, a new bandwagon.

Exactly. It was ugly, but we also played a great defense with a fantastic DL. We also doubled up on their points allowed average. I'd rather see more runs. But I'm not bringing every concern and insecurity to the rant. That's for team boards or other websites.
