To help balance things, Kirk Bohls of the Austin American-Statesman voted Arkansas #3 in the nation and voted LSU at #5.
And Guilbeau had some company in picking Arkansas lower.
Arkansas got voted 14 by 2 voters, 15 by one voter, 17 by another voter, 18 by yet another voter.
So Guilbeau was undeniably the lowest but Arkansas had quite the range of votes.

Well considering our only losses were at the hands of the #1 and #2 ranked teams and we now have one of the nation's best RB's back, a #3 ranking is not unreasonable at all.
Edit: but ya, LSU should be in the top 3 for sure. I'd put them at 1 if I had a vote.

I have a hunch that there's one very simple reason why Arkansas got more than a few non top-10 votes.

He is the worst person ever, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with having LSU 1 and Alabama 3. I think Alabama at 2 is more accurate, though.
