I have for one along with some Bama friends do not understand how he has stayed on the air

F-Bammer is a big show BECAUSE he pisses everybody off intentionally and they continue to listen. It's funny how he is trying to go nationwide, only to have the 'regulars' just drive him back to the mobile home park.

You would have loved it in Shula's last year then... The callers taking up for Mikey, then when he was fired, Paul painted RitaRod as the trashiest skank in all the West Va. trailer parks combined! Whatever he says about any particular school, he already said about Bama and Aub... the more people mad, the higher ratings.

Finebaum is not a journalist. Or a good interviewer. Or reporter.
What he IS, is an advertisement sales vehicle. Whatever stirs up the most controversy and foments inane discussion to complain about, THAT is what Finebaum tries to do. And he is quite good at it. If you like listening to Finebaum for the crazy caller entertainment value, then have at it. But don't do it thinking you are in any way getting credible or reliable sports information.
And just in case you think Alabama is rife with crazy people because they show up on the Finebaum show, other SEC teams have just about as many, and just about as bad. Finebaum is just more successful at smoking them out of the woodwork.
