Was talking about this past season.

quote:

hut him down for most of the game, causing him to throw a career-high 3 INTs.

Weren't 2 of those off the hands of WRs? There was one really badly throw that got picked where he was throwing out of a sack.

I think things will be a lot different in 2018 when these QBs have experience.

Not likely unless the offensive philosophies change. I'm frankly amazed that so many schools, and not just in the Sec, refuse to adapt to the hunh/spread movement taking place in college football.

Bunch of next level talent guys at QB in ACC and other conferences, while It doesn't look like SEC has any draft worthy QBs for a while

I thought Trevor Knight and Chad Kelly were pretty good.

Total BS we would beat the b10 like a drum if we played them 12 games each under our same format. Our speed on defense is hair trigger.

I agree I wouldn't call our defense monsters but you have to consider bad offense has an impact on good defense. If we could have had even an average offense this year, our defense would have played considerably better in the games we lost.

Except maybe Arkansas. Their coaches made Collins look like a PE teacher.

Like others said, I think this year will see some really good SEC qb play. There were a lot of young guys who got experience and I think there were some good quarterbacks who suffered from poor protection this year (Allen),

This last year was not good for SEC qb play, but one year alone is not indicative of how the position will look going forward. I expect most of the SEC teams to see improvement in that area this year.

The best QBs don't want to play against the best defenses would be my only guess... as far as Louisiana, our high schools just put the best athlete at QB so that's a big reason we don't produce QBs. I don't know how high school football is in the rest of the SEC states.

We should all try the steroid policy started at UF last year. That kid had it going on
