Early morning games are prime upset spots.

Happens a few times a year.

That's why I always deduct 100 IQ points from anyone who takes a single game snapshot to make assumptions about future games.

Anyone that's followed college football for more than a week has direct evidence that sometimes a team shows up and plays out of its mind against a top-ranked program like they're the '95 Cornhuskers and the next week get beat by a 1-6 Iowa State. It's why a 5-loss South Carolina team can beat Alabama (2010), then get clotheslined by Kentucky the next week.

It takes truly elite teams to bring it week after week after week. Especially when there's a target on its back.

They were playing in Starkville. That town begs you to be flat.

Its about matchup of styles of play as much as anything, this leads to some head shaking results.
