They should basically bring back to the old Southern Conference and pull the southern teams from the ACC, Big 12, and SEC as a mega conference. It might be headed that way anyways.

If Auburn had to switch conferences then the ACC would be the clear choice. They make the most sense geographically with schools in Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina being very close, and the NC and Virginia schools are not too far away. We also have some decent history with Georgia Tech, Clemson, and FSU.
I'm not sure which division would be better since they are not split up geographically and b/c Georgia Tech is in one division and FSU and Clemson are in the other. Of the existing divisions I guess we would be better in the Coastal, but perhaps they could re-do the divisions.
No other conference is even close geographically. We are several states removed from Big 10 and Big 12, and half a country away from the PAC.

I think it will be North Carolina instead of Duke. Should be a very competitive game too.
