Meaning if you PLAYED HSFB and were not a "Yell Leader" or some other type of fig.

My high school coach played QB @ Georgia.

I don't think he was a starter, but he was on the team with Fran Tarkington(sp) and played for Wally Butts (sp).

I saw him after 20yrs at a local steakhouse and he hugged my neck and said he missed me.

That there was a good day.

:nb4oldfart#eatit:

Said I was the quickest lineman he ever coached.

best bama HS player pre Condredge. Holloway

He did call me Animal.

He was one of these old school types that thought if you drank too much water you'd cramp up. So two-a-days in August we'd get one cup of water in the morning and one in the afternoon. Amazing no one died.

Well, my head coach played for VT, but my offensive line coach played for Auburn.....until he decided that wasn't good enough so he went into the military and joined the navy seals. Yeah, conditioning was lots of fun.

*not football* but most of my hs club team coaches are at uf now. 2/3 are former sec athletes. after their departure for uf my next coach was also a former sec athlete. of the 4, one was our last Olympic coach, the other 3 were Olympians- 3 golds, 1 silver total

No. But he was a starting Defensive Tackle at North Carolina in the late 80s.

My HS wrestling coach, in the state of Alabama, had 2 NC rings from wrestling at Iowa. My HS football coach just had 2 wives and was fricking 2 different teachers, all at the same time. Both of those things are more impressive than playing football in the SEC

Jesus Christ. Someone should have told him that if he wanted to commit suicide there were much easier ways.
