My answer is outside the box a bit:

Wisconsin

Madison is an awesome city with awesome fans. Their stadium is SEC ready and I think that would be an awesome annual road trip to Camp Randall.

Vote doesn't count but:

NC (not southern culturally and that's what matters).

Basketball, decent football that would get better, academics, national following.

Have you spent time in NC at all? I'd say it's pretty damn southern from the drawl, to the BBQ, to the purty womenz.

ETA: The NC southern drawl is one of my favorites for women.

Chocklahoma and Texas... Then move Auburn to the East... Basically a merger of the SWC and the SEC...

Another good one.

They are second to Wisconsin on my list probably.

Also wouldn't mind UVA. They are the most elite non-private Academic institution in the country and Charlottesville is probably the most gorgeous college town in the country.

Wisconsin - I'd think they might fit in pretty well on and off the field. Probably their love of beer has something to do with it. I think Camp Randal would be enjoyable for visiting SEC fans. Posted without reading TheCaterpillar's post, but we agree on Wisky.

Arizona St. - strictly for the co-eds. They help make up for their football program's level of play.

My work is through here.

I always figured the next two teams the SEC takes would be VA Tech and NC St., even before the rumors started. The SEC would want one team from NC and VA each where are some potential in TV markets and good recruiting grounds. VA Tech fits in to the SEC better than UVA with its athletics program while still being a decent academic school. Figured UNC would be the ultimate prize in NC, but you would never get them without Duke and taking both doesn't seem to be like something the SEC would do. So, NC St. would logically be the next best option.
