... all you have to do is schedule two SEC teams. It is that simple.

Toughest ACC non-conference schedules in 2013

Honestly, I wish the ACC would do it more often.

The American, B1G, Big 12 and PAC 12 have already been ranked. The SEC is next - should be interesting.

In this case, the one cited above for ACC rankings, the site claims Clemson's non-conference schedule to be the toughest in the country because of Georgia and having to go to South Carolina.

Every single SEC team should be trying to schedule ACC teams as OoC games, at least one, preferably two. Doesn't matter which ones (unless you are SCAR, UF and UGA of course), but every single SEC team should have at least one ACC team on their schedule every single year.

Eta: ... to include Notre Dame.

Not a fan of that. SEC/ACC matchups aren't really games that I look forward to watching unless my team is involved.

I get all that, I do, but they are a FBS conference, would travel well in the Southeast, talk a lot of shite about the SEC and, by virtue of beating them regularly from top to bottom, it would hurt their recruiting efforts with some of the same players SEC schools recruit each year.

I dunno - it was just a thought.

Plus it gives us some new local venues to visit ... and SEC fans would probably like traveling, occasionally, to Notre Dame, Syracuse, Va Tech, etc.

SCAR regularly plays NC State, and now UNC again, and of course Clemson. But I would like to see us schedule Wake and Duke, Va Tech, FSU even, and Ga Tech, more often.

On second thought, I sure could get to some of those games a lot easier than my seven hour "home game" drive. I'm for it, and a trip by train to Southbend would be sweet.

It might make sense for the SEC east teams to schedule the ACC more. But for the west, it would probably work better to play the B12.

Agree. I would like to play Texas and Oklahoma once in a while too.

I wish SCAR would schedule Texas, So Cal, Notre Dame. We've tried with Notre Dame several times and they were just not willing. We're supposed to be working on something with So Cal, although that may be shut-down pending future SEC scheduling. We've only played Texas once, and beat them at their place back in the 50s.

I'm a fan of scheduling ACC teams. Not just our yearly drubbing of GT, but as you said, it's typically a nearby school and there are some beautiful campuses in that conference. I've gotta give Richt credit on his record vs. the ACC at UGA:
15-1
