You know he won't be fired immediately but rest assured he would be gone after the Kentucky game

Well obviously he would keep his job but as you well know the chances of us losing to NC State and Fl then beating the likes of Bama/USCe/UGA are pretty damn slim

People get fired mid-project all the time if their work is shite, not just in college football.

And the prject doesnt get done on time. Its poor management.

Sometimes shite can't be helped. Suppose Dooley goes all Tony Franklin by mid-season? Then his arse would have to GO!

If Tennessee loses 2 of its first 3 games......
UT should've pulled an Arky when Kiffin left. Plug an asst. in and wait until you can hire the right guy. By the time you guys get the ship back right, it'll be 10 yrs since you had a competitive team.

Problem was that they had an idiot for an AD. I wouldn't trust Mike Hamilton to hire a janitor.

Says the guy that has a team that has had only 1 good scam season in the last handful of seasons. You might want to worry about your own coach...just a suggestion.

Last time I checked we had one more Natty Championship than you since Chizik got hired.

You've got one more national championship than everyone since Chizik was hired, except, of course...

Can’t the NCAA step in and give Stephen Garcia eligibility for as long as Spurrier decides to coach?

The AD already has a list of possible hires, ALL good ADs have to...in case of emergencies or 0-4 starts...etc etc. The real point is the person high on the list already a college coach? NFL coaches work past recruiting hot times.

You dont fire though unless you have a hire. You dont wanna go fishing when you just fired someone and the team sucks...you have everything wrapped up ahead of time. Dooley is on "double secret probation".
