How about a 6 game winning streak against a bunch of teams that would have beaten us previous years?

Ok.. ok..

Now name one of the big 6 you beat, hell I’ll throw in A&M as well.

I’m waiting. Oh yeah, and you struggled against Indiana.

Stop with this bullshite. Every year. You need to actually preform against the top of the SEC to be considered part of the top of the SEC.

Fixed

Last three years?

UT-2
UK-1

Last 35 years?

UT-33
UK-2

You can't beat UT during the worst period in their history.

I never said we were considered part of the top of the SEC but to be fair we were tied for the 5th best SEC record this year which is better than weve had in a while.

Improvement starts at the bottom, relative to where you were. We showed improvement last year. We took care of the weaker teams that have been beating us lately. Now we will try and make the next step and improve on that by beating some better teams. I think we have the horses and coaching to make some noise this year. Its not dumbass Butch anymore.

Biggest losses for Tennessee that no ones talking about

Nigel Warrior - Just a fantastic football name
Daniel Bitutli - Led Tennessee in tackles 2017 - 2018

Somehow you also graduate two long snappers. I find that more just odd than important.

I remember these EXACT. SAME. ARGUMENTS. back when Butch won 9 games, two seasons in a row. To top that, he recruited at a top 10 level. That talent was there for Pruitt after Butch tanked.

Butch sat Alvin Kamara behind a freaking Tight End at Running Back. I don't see Pruitt doing anything that stupid.

Kirby sucks at development.

Kirby has developed a Thorpe Award Winner and a Butkus Award Winner. What has Pruitt developed at UT besides a team that lost to Georgia State?

He took a team that lost to GA State and then went on a 6 game winning streak to end the season and finished with a 5-3 SEC record (upper half of conference). Thats called...development?

Well they beat South Carolina by 20, a team in which Georgia failed to score more than 20 against in a 2OT game.

Didn’t UGA beat UT by 4 touchdowns or so? Only SEC defense to give up 30+ to UGA after all. Also UGA went 4-1 against top 15 teams.

UT from week 5 was much different than the team that finished the season. Despite our early season struggles, we finished #23 in total defense and top 30 in scoring D. While thats not great by any means, we definitely got much better as the season went on.

Sounds like you're trying to pump up A1abama's weak arse schedule.

This is like every idiot thing certain LSU fans that believe TSIO somehow holds them back say in one post.

Tennessee gets Florida at home and despite the fact UF fans are convinced they’re going undefeated that game is going to be trouble. Tennessee will compete for the East.

That game will depend upon whether or not JG is still a head case because even if Bailey ends up starting his freshman year, I doubt he starts by that game (it's too early). After watching JG struggle moment to moment last season, I have no idea if he will ever get it together between the ears and that's a damn shame because he actually is physically talented.

That said, I expect defense to be good. Offense loses a lot and is going to be dependent upon JG unless the OL steps up and helps introduce everyone else to Eric Gray (that kid can fly).
