go get Duke and North Carolina
Your football print is already established from east to west
Now you can dominate in basketball too with UK, UNC and Duke

I've been campaigning for this for years.

If the ACC expands to 16 teams, it should be two of these three schools: UNC, Virginia Tech, Florida State.

The Ohio State University and the University of Texas or bust

Never happen.
UNC is the Bama of the ACC. What they say, goes. The run that conference.

I would completely puke...

I tend to agree, it's not like we need more good football teams.

There are already infinity--billion threads on expansion.
Duke and UNC will NOT leave the ACC unless the conference collapses. With the additions of Pitt, Syracuse, and ND the ACC is now a basketball powerhouse even without Maryland. They've essentially given up on football but the conference is alive and well.

1 school from Virginia, 1 from North Carolina. New tv markets.

UNC, Duke, Tech, FSU, and Clemson are all off the table...period.
UNC and Duke literally run the ACC but would be little brothers in our conference. Tech, FSU, and Clemson would be blocked by UGA, UF, and USC.
The only real viable options are VT an/or UVA (since state law currently says they have to be in same conference), NCSU (could be difficult to convince their BoT to split from the Triangle schools), WVU (union sympathizers who JUST joined a new conference), or a smaller NC school like ECU.

Duke and UNC would be pretty spectacular from a Bball stand point but I don't see it happening.
If Duke/UNC is out of the question then you have to think UNC is out of the question period as they value thei Duke/UNC rivalry over everything else.
From a football/TV stand point you have to get Va Tech right?
Va Tech + one of FSU, Clemson, NC State, Ga Tech would trump anything that anyone else could pick up.
The biggest argument to grab FSU and Clemson is not about TVs but to keep them out of the hands of others (namely Big 12).
While Florida has a great share of the market in the state I think that FSU would add enough TVs to make them attractive else you probably pick up NC State (after making UNC tell you no).

That'd be a waste. You want 2 teams from 2 different states currently not part of the SEC footprint. Otherwise you're leaving money on the table.

Va Tech and NC State would be my choice.

If this is a troll, carry on.
If not, why the University of Texas? I've always viewed them as a Venereal Disease. Would the $ be worth it since we already have Texas A&M?

It's all about entering new markets. Much more likely to add NCstate and Va Tech over duke and UNC

Jacksonville Jaguars, Valdosta State

No... it isn't. If that were the case. Virginia Commonwealth and Appalachian State would be considered. The fan base and following is important. If you take NC State, you're getting the third fiddle.

This ...
Yes I'd perfer UVA & UNC but those two schools seem unlikely to leave so it would be time to move to the next best options
