I was about to say we heard the same words. He loved LSU and was not leaving. And his wife loved Baton Rouge.

LSU was a stepping stone to his dream job.

Big difference.

I think he is more worried about winning championships and adding to his legacy at this point. He won't leave until he feels he has done enough,

Winning natty's at 3 major schools would solidify his rep. in stone.
His wife may control the money, but I am sure she would like more of it to control.

Might he try the NFL again ?

I wish a great chasm would open in the earth and swallow up this line of questioning and then close and seal itself permanently so that it would never be spoken of again

until the next time J Jones was seen gland handing Saban.

Or word leaks that Kevin Steele was using the showerrooms to rape sororstitutes and Saban knew about it all along...

Are we really gonna act like a control freak on the level of Saban is being told what to do by his wife?

True but that was 8 years ago now wasn't? Ever heard of regret? Meaning maybe after heading to be a head coach at the NFL he regretted leaving the college ranks. Food for thought.

Like my grandpa use to say You are ate up with the dumbass son. Saban only left for the NFL and the $$$. When he couldn't cut it in the NFL he came back to CFB and Bama was the best open job that year.

Maybe, maybe not. But you turn 60 and I doubt the first thing that pops into your mind is, "where's the next place I want to get a job at?"
