So you are telling me that a coach that has taken less talent from a traditional bottom dweller and turned them into a top 10 team isn't good enough?

got it. Maybe you need another round of Mikes at bama.

I'm just saying if we can get a solid candidate who will run a pro-style offense and a 3-4 defense, we will. Because we're already built for that and have had just a little bit of success with it

Pat Dye. He doesn't like black women. Natural fit.

Kirby

Some people don't realize this (even some Bama fans) but Saban has been letting Kirby have a lot more say and decision making with staff and direction to go in recruiting (mainly regarding the D to stop spread O's), hiring Lance Thompson back etc

The job is Kirby's if Saban decides to retire sometime in the near future

Matches what I have heard, plus the day Kirby is hired, a DC working in Florida will return immediately to run the D.

Dabo scares the hell out of me due to his history of choking in big games. But hell, the more I think about it, what coach in America besides Saban does not have a history of randomly choking despite superior talent? Bama fans will have to face the fact that there is no Saban available. Once we lose him, we will remain a top 10 program, but will face the same vulnerabilities as teams like LSU, FSU, OSU, Oregon, etc.

Curry and Fran left. Riley and RichRod said no.

One look at this fan base speaks volumes.

Jeremy Pruitt. I just don't see Kirby getting the gig I don't know why but I don't. Pruitt is a Bama guy and was on Saban's staff and is doing great at FSU.

Horrible decision. We are talking about a guy who could not even get the Southern Miss job. Familiarity with the Alabama program would be the only reason any of us would mention him as a candidate. He is nowhere near ready to be the head coach of the enormous challenge which will be Alabama post-Saban. Alabama will need a seasoned veteran who is used to taking tons of criticism from fans and media. Saban does not even allow him to do media interviews. He would be devoured after the first 2 loss season.
