So does this mean Auburn would go to the Sunbelt?

State and OM would be two of the least likely teams to leave the conference because of political favor.

Not true. Times have drastically changed. The old south no longer exists

State and Ole Miss are both more valuable than Arkansas.
Silly thread.

Charter members will never be "ejected" from the league.

Eventually they will be forced out if they can't compete and provide value to the conference.
We're in new and interesting times where the bottom line (money) is the driving force in conference politics.

If money were the only thing, Vandy would probably be kicked out long before anyone else. But they won't either. Academics and being a charter member has to count for something.

Here's the thing:
THe SEC actually wanted aTm, but had to take Missou to create an even number and further demise another conference. There wasn't much want involved.. Otherwise y'all would also be in the SECW.
Think aboout that.. The SEC wouldn't move either of the lowly Mississippi schools to the East to ease Missou's transition.

Well, no matter how it went down, it appears that the SEC chose wisely when they invited Mizzou!

MS teams still have a lot of political clout in Washington. Mizzou is a good school and all, but will not add anything that MSU or OM does not, except a new tv market. That tv market is overrated. Most people in MO could care less about college sports.
Over and out.
Over and out.
