He will be announced either Friday or Saturday - in an attempt to grab as much media attention as possible prior to the SEC Championship game featuring Alabama.
Same thing happened in 2012 with what was a "huge hire" in Ellis Johnson. The timing is intentional.

Unless it the timing is such that it would require delay/acceleration, I don't know why any team would NOT do this.

So if it happens next week???
We were waiting for the new UF coach to fire his staff, then they can get double pay and we do not have to pay their buyout.
If he decides he wants to,keep them, then it gets tricky.
