How embarrassed are the other Mizzou fans on this board right now?

I'd say Alabama has cornered the embarrassed fan market.

Grabbed NC State.

I wish.

They'd be a perfect fit for the SEC.

Great fan base, very loyal. Decent in all three sports, football, basketball and baseball. Outstanding facilities, all things considered. Strong NC TV footprint including the RTP that even extends into southern VA. Easy access via the RTP Airport and I-40 x I-95. 2200 acre campus, 25k undergraduate enrollment and located in the capital of the state of NC. Carter-Finley seats 60k but they fill the place and have a waiting list. It's a nice stadium too, ingenious design wrapped in a wide open concourse like it is.

A strong natural rivalry with SCAR, but also close proximity to UGA, UT, UF, Vandy and Auburn.

NC State was such a natural fit for the SEC. Too bad Slive couldn't make it happen. I know many fans and big wigs at NC State were hoping to get an invite.

Would the SEC have stayed at 13? If not, who would they have realistically tried to add with the goal of expanding the SEC footprint and potential TV subscribers for the SEC Network?

LINK

Pretty good link, esp for SECer's who aren't really aware of what was going on in the Bev12 before it started folding.

You add up all the pieces and players and then hear a BevobeakerOki-nub claiming Mizzou started the collapse of the conference and realize what the real meaning of fail logic is.

If we lifted our skirt to the B1G, the nubs slingshot their panties into Ohio, the dope smokers in Boulder quietly hooked up with their left coast connections and the PAC fell asleep while the wallflower(okies) were nip slipping all over the place.

Mean while, any Aggie who was concerned w/ what Mizzou did enough to worry about jumping conferences, please come forward, any Aggie at all will do, anyone?

*crickets*

Ok we admit it, we sent a carefully crafted schematic to ESPN explaining how the LHN would be the first domino that will kick off a chain reaction making them the biggest corporation player since Microsoft in the 90's.

Yep it was all us, all along, we did it all, Mizzou the kingpins of conference realignment.

and yes...

Thankfully we didn't end up in the big 10.

Although those road trips to minnesota and Iowa would have been sweet....zzzzzzzzzzzz

One more thing, remember the cornholes were among the loudest of the whiners about Mizzou "breaking up" the conference.

One of he primary issues of the day was equal revenue sharing,, BUT:

Nubs against equal revenue sharing

The nubs were right there with Bevo fighting AGAINST a long term GOR for equal revenue sharing.

Funny how they jumped ship well ahead of Aggie, let alone Mizzou, and are still pointing the finger at us all the while. Apparently along with corn syrup, they have an endless supply of hypocrisy in the state of Osborne.

We're lucky to have gotten Missouri. I'm glad it worked out the way it did. I think it's good for both the SEC and Missouri.

Agreed. It took some great thinking to look at it pragmatically. The media actually thought that TCU and West Virginia were upgrades over A&M and Mizzou.

In terms of relatively recent football success, TCU and West Virginia were probably upgrades ,but in the long term I think everyone knew they were going to be bad additions and fall off. They added absolutely nothing to the Big 12.

If Mizzou went to the Big Ten the only way the SEC would have been able to survive would have been to land Notre Dame.

It's science.

Crap, I hate threads like this. First I am thinking...."They can't be serious."

Then some sound very, very serious....so I am all confused. We REALLY need something on here to tell us when you guys are being sarcastic, so we can laugh right along side of you.

The question wasn't "Would the SEC survive without Missouri?", it was "Who would the SEC have replaced Missouri with at the 14th school?" And I linked to a story that hypothesized, "what if?". Some here understood the question. You obviously didn't.

As for making us look bad... Save your Rant Cop bullshite for someone who gives a rat's arse about what you think.
