Very little is taken seriously on the Rant....

But, that was one well thought out piece of work man. Nice job. Now, quit trying to help the orange freaks from Tenner. We enjoy their prolonged suckage.

You could be a graduate assistant for Nick Saban and have a better record and more national championships than this. If he was an assistant coach, then "he" didn't go 162-46-2 or 47-7 or win two national championships. The head coaches did. Hiring a lifelong assistant as head coach of a major program is risky. Who could have argued with Bill Muschamp's credentials as an assistant when Florida hired him? Sure you can point to success stories like Jimbo Fisher at FSU, Mark Richt at Georgia and Bob Stoops at Oklahoma, but there are just as many or more who fail to succeed when making the jump from assistant to head coach. Major programs are usually, but obviously not always, above serving as the proving ground for a first-time head coach. However, I do agree that Tennessee can and needs to do better than Butch.
