"IF" FSU beats UGA, could AP rank them 1?

They have no obligation to follow CFP winner.

Yes I know Georgia should probably skull drag them, but you never know about a team's motivation and also opt-outs.

I'm not saying I want this to happen, just wondering the possibility.

I imagine plenty of Georgia players are going to sit out the Orange bowl and prep for the draft. So it depends if the AP committee takes that in to account.

They won’t cross the 50, much less beat UGA.

AP can do whatever they want. Half of those voters don’t even watch football.

Chances are greater FSU falls outside top 10.

It could very well happen.
Go back to the Orange Bowl in 1978. Very similar circumstance and the eighteen point underdog crushed the favorite 31-6.

And FSU will have a claim to the Natty over Bama as they will have beaten the same GA team that Bama beat as well.
