If he does....
Mullen goes to Florida,
Kirby Smart to Ms State,
Muschamp to Bama?

Chizik had Cam and Gus, though.

I really do wonder what would've happened if State had ponied up the dough to get Cam.

They would have won it then. Cam was the difference that year.

Unlike most SEC teams, Mississippi State is playing/starting a lot of juniors/seniors and through the tough years they've just continued to develop, improve, and not lose confidence in their coaching staff. As a result, you're seeing some great football out of them.

If he does:

Miles to Michigan
Mullen to LSU for 10 million per year!

I don't think you need to worry about that happening baw. MSU is going to shite themselves real soon.

Hopefully Muschamp to UGA after Richt retires. We need a bulldog HC at the helm.

State didn't have nearly the supporting cast in 2010 to put around Cam that Auburn did. The 20+ seniors and veteran O-line had as much to do with the NC that Auburn won as Cam did. MSU is winning this year for the same reasons.

And to answer OP, if Dan Mullen wins the national title at Mississippi State then enjoy it while it lasts because the NCAA will be taking away shortly after and penalizing State back into the Croom years

Dan Murlins magic is incredible. Just shows what staying at a program can do for a recruiting base. He's turned a shite program into a fricking power house.

bit of an exaggeration no?

Bull-fricking-shite

We had 10x the defense that Auburn had that year.

In what world?

State had nobody in the same Stratosphere as Nick Fairley. Zach Clayton is still in the NFL. Antoine Carter was All-SEC. Mike Blanc was a baller. Corey Lemonier NFL. Josh Bynes NFL starter. Daren Bates is in the NFL. Eltoro Freeman was an animal. Neiko Thorpe is on an active NFL roster. Demond Washington, T-Bell and Chris Davis were all ballers. Zach Etheridge was smart AF and Mike McNeil was a legitimate thug gangster playing safety.

This years State defense is probably the only one in yalls history that can touch 2010 Auburn defense in terms of pure talent

Why wouldn't we have wanted him fired? He had not beaten any relevant team until this year. He was in year 5 of the program with time to develop his players and he barely gets to 6 wins. If he wouldn't have had a 8 or 9 win season this year, I think even more State fans would have been calling for him to get fired. Obviously he has bought himself a lot of extra time in Starkville.

Yeah, we really had to cheat to get all of these 2* and 3* players that are kicking your arse.
