All three would have won in another year. Oh well, good for Marcus.

Ingram was a deserving winner of what ythe Heisman has become but he wasn't the most important player on that team, Rolando Mcclain was.

Lot of revisionist history about Mark Ingram. I really dont get the Ingram hate, he was a special player. I still think he was the best of all the Saban running backs.

Gordon is the best offensive skill position player in the nation and it isn't close.

I think Mariota deserved it, too, but Cooper is absolutely incredible as well. He was my favorite, although I didn't think he'd get it. Actually, this was a tough one between those 2, and I could've seen it going to either one of them. But congrats to Mariota - an outstanding QB.

Coop is awesome but they got it right with Mariota.

Coop is intense as a mofo though. Gives him his edge against competition! Along with his talent.

Mariota definitely deserved it. All 3 finalists had amazing years.

Cooper is a great player. And it was fine he wa invited, but there is no way he should have won. MM is clearly the best player in the nation, most deserving, and most important to his team. He meets the requirements of the Heisman 100%.

All of this is proven by his landslide win over Gordon who was second. 2nd largest margin of victory all time. Well deserved!

Breakdown:

1 MM- 2534 points, 788 1st place votes.
2 MG- 1250 points, 37 1st place votes.
3 AC- 1023 points, 49 1st place votes.
10 BP- 13 points, 1 1st place vote.

Bryce Petty was closer to getting 2nd over MG ( 1237 points ); than MG was getting 1st over MM ( 1285 ). If you combined MG and AC totals they still would've gotten 2nd by 261 points.

Cooper didn't get robbed , he and MG got sympathy invites to an all expenses paid visit to NY.

It could be that less than 2% of the SECr knows
