Numbers and how to effectively use them in contrast and comparison scenarios always seems to baffle art majors.

You just showed your ignorance on several layers of things - football and statistics being the two most obvious.

Let me guess... dental student or comm major right?

Who cares who wins the Heisman...... The Heisman is a curse.

Tell me some Heisman winners that are stud NFL stars?

Winston/Mariota..... unknown yet but doing well in the First year

Manzel/Griffith.... running JOKE's

Newton..... Best Heisman winner in NFL

Ingram.... he is earning paycheck still

Bradford.... earning paycheck done nothing impressive

Tebow... NOT IN LEAGUE

Troy Smith/ Leinart.... Not in league

Bush... still earning nice paychecks/Super Bowl ring

Palmer... still earning paycheck Made a nice career.

My point is , winning the Heisman means nothing anymore. SO WHO CARES

And the defenses he's played against are considerably better than the creampuffs Henry has gashed open.

Ummm

Yep, to me this is a significant of an objective analysis. Henry got his stats against significantly tougher defenses. I absolutely love McCaffrey for the type of player/student athlete he is but I would have to vote for Henry as a workhorse in a very tough league.

Dalvin Cook averaging two more yards per carry than Henry and McCaffrey looks good.
Both players carried their team, but McCaffrey did come up with about 1,500 more yards. Some years, there isn't a great player. This year, there's about 6.

Derek Henry is the 3rd best running back in the SEC.

Who were the other 2 running backs this year that beat Walker's record?

As much as I love Mariota as a Titans fan you could easily make the case Coop was the best player in CFB last year.

I think Henry should win it, but no.

This season Henry broke a Herschel Walker SEC record and tied a Tim Tebow SEC record.

Either Fournette and Henry are really good or the run defense in the SEC sucks because to have 2 RB's near Herschel Walker and Bo Jackson is unheard of.

I wouldn't say it's a team award, Manziel won it.

It will be close again like it was for Ingram and Gerhart. My guess is a lot of votes could have been cast before Sat's games and if that is the case Henry will edge him again. The one thing that could hurt Henry is Watson taking some of his votes away from that area.

Henry compared to LF7

Henry has around 65 some odd more carries than LF7 but yet only out rushes him in total yards by 245yrds

Here are the Stats from 2014:

Marcus Mariota

Passing

304/445 - 68.3% - 4454 Yds - 42 TD - 4 Ints

Rushing

135 - 770 Yds - 15 TD

Amari Cooper

Receiving

124 - 1727 Yds - 16 TD

While those are some pretty gaudy receiving numbers, he wasn't the best player in College Football, and there's really no argument to be made. He is a fricking beast, and probably one of the most likable players to ever come out of Alabama, but that doesn't mean he was the best player in the country.

The only stat the McCaffrey wins is Total yards because he returns kicks. That's it.

Henry is the better running back, but McCaffrey had a better season. Henry's game is so 1 dimensional it hurts.

McCaffrey literally did it all, and is the best at doing everything in NCAA history.

Theres nothing wrong with saying Henry might be a better running back, but McCaffrey is a better football player and had a better season.

McCaffrey is more exciting to watch. Henry is a good player, but he fits the boring Bama profile more. Either would be a great winner.
