And he did the same thing at Louisville. Ultimately wins are what matters. With all of his baggage he could probably be had for a pretty good price. Just make sure you write up a good contract that basically gives you the right to fire him without pay if he screws up in any way, shape, or form.

I agree. He wins at the places he goes and doesn't have any NCAA baggage. While his morals may suck and as a human being he's not a good person he wins. Look at Saban and Meyer, both of them have no morals and will screw anyone over yet they get hired. College football is about wins sadly, not about the players or antyhing else it is about winning, if you win all will be forgiven, provided you don't have a show clause.

Lazy today: what is Chiz's overall W/L record as a HC? Assume that if the NC yr's record is removed, it is a losing one overall? Not a flame, just curious.

Completely untrue of course. Unless you're just a fan who doesn't have reason to care about more.

Sorry, my morals and integrity aren't governed by some sports team. I watch them to win games, not to teach me how I should lead my life. Anybody who does the latter is really dissociated from reality.

You'll see what taking the "high road" will accomplish. We are going to lose millions in potential revenue to our university due to having shitty teams for the foreseeable future, a divided fan base (again), tons of potential recruits going elsewhere, and the facilities advancements that were planned slowing significantly, if not coming to a halt.

But hey! Look at our integrity! Wooooooo

Larry, do you not remember jetgate? Half the AU fan base would revolt if we hired Petrino.

I'm not saying AU will hire him but he's a proven HC who can win at a high level and built a strong program at Ark. Had he been there a few more years he'd have their first SEC title possibly with an MNC as well. They were a solid 3rd in conference play behind LSU and UA but they were playing those teams tough with far less perceived talent.

Well Alabama was the only team that consistently gave us trouble. Petrino was 2-2 vs LSU.

He'll be the next coach of Kentucky, Colorado, or Texas Tech.

Between the three, one will nut up and hire him.

If UThug loses first, Petrino' won't take calls from Aub as he'll be headed to TN.

doesn't make what he said any less true. You were 3rd and possibly lower depending on how this year went.

They were 3rd in the SEC and a bit of seperation from 3rd to the rest of the list, they were also 3rd or 4th in the nation. He built Ark into a strong team that noone in the SEC could take lightly and had to bring their A game.

Petrino is getting out of the south and even if Auburn has a horrible year Chiz has built enough clout to survive it

there might be major coordinator overhaul howeva

Petrino will never be the HC of a major program ever again

I wouldn't say that but I would say that his reputation hasn't been sufficiently rehabilitated to be a HC at a major program next season.

When he does get his shot, he'd be wise to try to kick start his career out west where the don't really play much defense to begin with and haven't all been laughing at his demise as much.

eh as far as I'm concerned we still lost that game. The record books might not show it but it we did.

...we SHOULDN'T have, but we did. Ugh...why didn't we just scoop and score...
