Because you had the dream schedule this year. Every tough team at home except Alabama.

I think everyone here is missing the fact here that regardless of whether Cam comes back and the how the new O line performs, Fairley is gone. I would say that he had the most impact in the championship game. Oregon's inability to run in the middle was a huge key to that game.

7 games against ranked teams is hardly a dream schedule.

You get Bama at home after a bye week. Are you guys going to wait until week 11 to have a bye every season or is this some random 3 times in a row deal?

Not a dream, but having most of them at home significantly helped our season. No reason to deny it or apologize for it.

Would that D be 1/10th what it was without the best defensive, if not the best overall, player in college football?

Even if Cam Newton comes back IMO you'll be lucky to make a New Years bowl game next year. The schedule is absolutely brutal with almost every team in the SEC West improving while you must replace your entire offensive line and a defense losing key players the first of which includes Nick Fairley.

Enjoy this year and sincerely hope P4P doesn't turn into anything big as next year will be a rough one for AU.

1. he's not coming back

2. IF he did the upper limit is about 11

3. since he won't I say the most we win next year is 9

schedule just blows next year

I would say thats a very realistic prediction and knowing how happy I was this year with Bama's season you won't be dissapointed either. Anytime you can follow up a fantastic year with another solid one and a chance to get even better you can't ask for more than that.

If he comes back, he's stupid. Hed risk having his eligibility case make the full rounds of the NCAA disciplinary commitee where they wouuld enforce the final ruling in his case. Thing is, his eligibility got restored by a preliminary ruling via another committee. IIf he stays, at the very least he risks going through a frama filled offseason, and at worst he risks falling in the draft due to not playing for a year. His stock is probably as high as its going to get anyway.

He is a good college QB, bbbut when I get my proeye out he looks bad to be honest. He doesnt have the arm strength or accuracy on the move to be consistent in the NFL with his scrambling style of play and would probably be a multiyear project like Vince Young was.

And what makes you think that? All the passes he completed? Please, dude's arm is as good as anyones' and better than most, including Tebow, who was a first rounder. Guy is a player. he will be drafted high.

I agree. He doesn't even need a line. I'd just put him and 10 WR's out there.

You are looking at hhim when he steps into and makes a throw, im watching him when hes on the mmmmmmmove and making backfoot throws and such. He isnt a pocketpasser though. If he was, there are alot better backups out there.

He doesnt have michael vick type of elusiveness either, and wont evade a spy in the NFL. So, its a matter of developing him to run and pass as he needs, and that takes time to break habitd.

Itll take awhile till he can figure what he can and cant do in the NFL. Thats why he'd be a project.
