What would the SEC look like today?

A succession of coaches were at LSU, the dark ages of Hallman. None of that would have occurred.

Saban would not have happened at LSU and his path would have likely led to him coaching Ohio State. Jimbo Fisher wouldn't be at Florida State, etc..

Likely, Miles would be at some other school, now. As successful? Hmm?

Alabama? Who'd be their head coach?

Things would be different.

If Joe Morrison didn't die in 1989, South Carolina probably wouldn't have sucked in the 1990s and would have been a better SEC team early on.

It is what it is though.

Why would Saban have been likely to go to Ohio state?

Actually was disappointed was hoping "the Bo you didn't know" was going to be a Hank Gathers 30 for 30.

He would have returned to Arkansas after Hatfield left and prepared us to destroy the SEC. Nice staff Holtz had there at Arkansas. Bo Rein on offense. Jimmy Johnson on D. Pete Carroll was on staff as well, but I think a few years before them.

He was 27-18-1 in 4 years as a head coach at NCSU. Anything could have happened.

gotta admit, the first time i seen that i wondered the same thing. dude looked like an outstanding young coach. i do think he would have changed the complexion of the sec somewhat. how much? can never be truly known.
