this is a troll but I'll say this... Johnny Jones wouldn't leave LSU for Kansas let alone Auburn or Alabama. If we were good enough that KU were interested, LSU would pay what it took to keep him

Trent left for TCU.

yea, he definitely left for a better opportunity and not because he sucked dick and was going to be fired.

certainly not because LSU decided not to extend his contract another year when they could have.

Maybe its not all about money.

It would be kind of silly to think a coach wouldnt leave a program for one that is head and shoulders better than the one he is currently at in any sport.

Trent "left" the same way Crowton left LSU for Maryland.... don't be pissed that Mike Anderson is a huge fricking flop at Arkansas. I'm surprised any coach wants to be there with Klan mentality...

What are Auburn's problems? Hell I admit bama sucks at basketball right now but 95% of it comes back to the coach. His in game coaching sucks and he hasn't recruited very well either. Most of it comes back to him. Auburn has a new arena but still have lost something like 22 of their last 24 SEC games. What is contributing to that if coaching has nothing to do with it? I'm all for giving coaches chances but your blind if you think Barbee is the man to lead Auburn to the upper echelon of the SEC.

Look, I didn't mean to rustle any jimmies, whatever the frick that means. I'm just don't think it would be that suprising if he was interested. Both schools have better facilities, more young talent, and can easily pay more. Not to mention less pressure on the bball coach that comes from having a top notch football program.

And for that matter, why do most people assume Pearl would return to the SEC when he could possibly go elsewhere to a better program, with a better recruiting base, closer to where he's actually from? Hint, hint.

His Alma Mater may very well be looking for a new coach. They are 6-15

both schools will obviously fight for Bruce Pearl. Do you think the loser will bring in Johnny Jones? The guy was pretty decent at north texas and has taken a bad LSU program and made them respectable. I'd look at him or maybe chuck person. What say the rant?
Your very first sentence of your very first thread is......full of shite. Alabama wouldn't touch Pearl with a 10 foot pole, and I doubt that Auburn would, either. The man's past NCAA and personal problems absolutely kill any possibility of him becoming a HC at Alabama. That's just the way it is.

Obviously you don't know where Jones went to school.
