...does that benefit recruiting for Tennessee?

I would think so. If I had UT on my list I would be watching Pruitt’s defense closely.

I don’t want to root for either team but should UT fans be hoping for a dominant game from Bama’s D?

For UT fans, I don't think it matters much. It's just one game. But, Jeremy Pruitt in my mind, is a much better hire than Butch and Dooley.

Nick Saban is the one who actually runs the defense. Everyone knows this

Georgia is going to light Bama's defense up.

The only way Bama wins tonight is by dominating on D

That's no secret

So Kirby didn’t do anything while he was there?

Yea since the caliber of athletes committing to Tenn is totally even with the athletes at bama.

He coaches and dictates. He hasn’t called defensive plays in a decade

Well, we've heard for more than a decade no Alabama DC should be considered elite because it is not even their defense.

UT benefits from having a considerably better recruiter at HC than they've had in years past.

Pruitt also is hiring a better staff than you've had in the past.

Dennis Franchione, Granny Clampett, or the corpse of Bob Barker would have made this statement no less true

Sure, but recruits don't. You don't think Kirby played up that angle when landing the classes he has thus far? Pruitt will do the same. Whether or not it will have the same effect, that remains to be seen. But Pruitt has done a fantastic job assembling a staff. Pruitt has also had success at three major programs.

Kirby gets recruits because he is kirby.

Pruitt will too.

Kirby pulls in better guys, though. Pruitt's best attributes recruiting are finding 3 stars who play like high 4 stars. I think that will work well for Pruitt at UT, though.

Sure, he has to sell himself, but showing recruits 4 national title rings certainly helps

If that were the case, kirby wouldn't beat Saban for recruits.

Kirby has a different style and personality that does great with Georgia high school players.

Pruitt's time in high school helps him know what kids are looking for at the next level.

Relating to kids and families can trump rings.

I hope you are right, but I would be shocked.

I'm not disputing any of that, but are you saying national titles don't matter? That's all I'm saying.
