It may be closer, but more like 45-13 closer instead of 49-10.

Remember 49-10? That will be the halftime score and Botch comes back out of the tunnel like Bud Kilmer and no troops behind him.

Nope, harakiri at halftime rather than 49-10 again.

I mean, it'll probably be closer than it was last time only because it has to be.

I don't see it. Dobbs has struggled to to put the ball in the air consistantly and knowing that bama will load the box and dare someone to throw it.
Bubble screens and whell routes wont get it done against bama's speed.

that's what I'm basing this on, Vols will come out with a devil may care attitude and give us all we want.

Just don't think we'll see the quit in them like we did in Knoxville.

Hurd was sandbagging all year even when he played. Check out these numbers:

Dobbs 470
Hurd 451
Kamara 441
Kelly 407

Now here comes the interesting part: Kamara got his yards with 48 less carries than Hurd and John Kelly barely played until the South Carolina game got his yards with 66 fewer carries.

Last week, Kamara, Kelly and Dobbs also combined for the biggest rushing yards per carry we've seen in a conference game since 2004 by producing an attack that had 9.2 yards per carry and with 376 yards total the best total yardage we've had since 1994. Yes, it was against a softer opponent but Hurd never produced against softer opponents and this season's edition of Hurd was mediocre at best (he was better in prior seasons). However, in his entire career, I never saw Hurd do what John Kelly did in his first real game as a starter when he peeled off a 70 yard TD run. He just couldn't do it -- lacked the vision and top speed.

Hurd was baller when he wanted to be and I loved watching him hammer defenders by pure force but this season both his play and his attitude were bad. I think the drama effected the offense badly but our defense is too decimated at this point to do much. Our best hope is a wide open offensive game with everyone.

It is hard to beat the same team twice in the same season especially a rival. Just ask 1996 Florida St or 2011 LSU if you doubt believe me.

The offense will look better if the oline can finally get healthy. That is a big if, though. We haven't had our best five on the field at the same time one game this season.

The defense will be worse. I would trade Sutton and Kirkland to get our DTs back. It could be Arkansas/ Auburn bad if we meet again.

Tennessee at their best is mediocre due to injuries. At their worst they give up 400 yards rushing to UK. I'd like to see them healthy but they have no defense left.

I'm not sure our defense can even stop Vandy. I'm resigned to not watching florida get girlie handled by the gumpers. I'll take the "Whatever shite Bowl" we get handed over the SECG.

How are they going to back door their way into the SECCG? Other then the choke job against the Vols the gators have been the better team against common opponents and it's not ever close.

I honestly haven't watched them in a while. Who are their running backs now and how have they been doing?

You got your asses kicked. You've played 3 teams with a winning record, and 2 of them beat you into the ground.

Kamara and Kelly have been exponentially more effective than Hurd.

If I was a betting man you would have to spot me at least 26 points to Tenn. for me to even look at the line. Bama would lay waste to Tennessee ( or any other east team that may make the SEC championship game).

We won't have a single one of our injured DTs back so I've got to disagree with you there
