If (and this is a big if) Mizzou beats Florida, who is the team to beat in East

If Mizzou beats Florida and the other East schools win their games, the top teams by record would be:

Mizzou: 5-1
Georgia: 5-1
Florida: 5-1
Kentucky: 5-1

Clearly Georgia would be the team to beat since their one loss to Alabama would be the best loss of the four.

Mizzou would have the worst one loss, so naturally they would be at the bottom of this list...or would they? A win over Florida (a team that beat the team who beat Alabama at Alabama) with a new QB would carry some weight.

At this point in the season all we can do is play the "transitive property" game.

Won't know until November to be honest.

But I think we are starting to get a little clearer picture after this weekend.

UGA should roll, but Richt.

Depending on which UK shows up, they could win against AU. They just about beat a Muschamp defense last year.

UF should win in Mizzou, but it's Mizzou and we somehow look like crap against Mizzou. Then again... That was with Muschamp and we just exercised that Ole Miss demon.

Like I said, who knows.

From a Mizzou fan's perspective, everything becomes FAR more interesting if Mizzou pulls the upset over Florida and Georgia and Kentucky fall.

If that happens, Mizzou suddenly in 1st place and in control of their destiny.

That's kind of how this works, every year since 1992. The first place team usually controls their destiny. Usually.

Actually, Kentucky has a bye week. If Georgia falls to Tennessee (anything can happen) and if Mizzou beats Florida...Mizzou and Kentucky sit atop the division.

I still think UGA is the team to beat in the east, despite the egg they laid on Saturday.

Their remaining schedule is favorable, and Missouri, UK, and Florida all have very small margins for error.

It used to be the highest ranked BSC team goes. Maybe they'll use the polls to determine.

I like the way you think, from one Yankee to another. Good luck against UF, they are playing about as well as anyone. Unfortunately they no longer have Muschamp's dynamic offense for me to laugh at. So go out there and take the win from the gatas.
