OK, same for JFF.

Zone read QB's still need to sit in the pocket and pass. I mean, this isnt new, there are plenty of these types now that are in the NFL and we get to see them. Many are settling into more of a traditional passing role as the defenses catch up and adjust.

A QB has to be able to pass from the pocket in todays NFL. Too many good athletes on the defenses in the NFL that are prepared and coached much better than in the college game.

Metts problem is they don't like his footwork nor do I - he seems to almost always look like he is going to fall. Forward Backward Sideways.

His Arm is Electric. This year will effect Mett more that any QB I have seen in Oct Nov in a long long time.

He could move up high or drop low.

The others are in a range.

I love how people throw game manager out like its an insult. The guy does everything you want him to do, has enough arm to make all the throws (after a certain point great is no better than enough when accuracy is equal), and he is a winner.

It's horrible. But damn he throws a nice ball.

I think his draft stock skyrockets this year but he's gonna have a ton of work to do once he gets in the league. But he's got what it takes physically. Unless he has the worst feet ever, which to me looks like it might be a possibility.

I think all 4 would do well, it's a very strong qb class coming out in 2014 draft, including Bridgewater and that other guy, what's his name.

Yeah its weird if he is a good "game manager" then what are your QB's not doing? They certainly aren't winning the games and championships that matter. So if McCarron is just a game manager (which they will say when Dave Cornwell or Ricky Town are our QBs) what does that make LSU and UGA's shitty QBs since they obviously can't manage the game good enough to get the wins when it matters and win championships.

So that makes Murray and Mett poor game managers I guess. Every QB still requires the other 10 guys on offense to do their jobs to be productive, but because its Alabama's QB and our other 10 are that much better than yours you shite on our QB.

I know a lot of you don't really think about James Franklin in these types of conversations but if he returns to form after last years injuries and plays like he did his sophomore year he will get some looks come draft time. Much will depend on how he rebounds the rest of the year and whether he stays healthy. He has the tools, the weapons in the skill positions and a healthy and improved O-line.

I could be jumping the gun a little, or being a homer, but the skill set is there and he has proven the ability to play at a high level when healthy.

It's such a negative term nowadays, I was just wondering what you thought about it. In my opinion if GM was a game manager AJ is P. Manning. People are way to fast to throw out the label game manager and at the same time have a negative idea of what a game manger is.

Franklin is a great QB, he just has to actually show it against SEC teams. I was upset he got hurt last year because I wanted to see our D against him.

I also believe that it is generous to call Russell Wilson 5'11". I don't see that his skill set differs much from Murray either.

game manager is not a negative term to me. several years, JJ had so many tools around him that is all we needed and he couldn't do that.

Ill be one of the rare LSU fans that looks at AJ and sees a star quarterback. Guy can make all the throws, good to great footwork, throws a very accurate ball and has a ton of confidence. Even more, he has the total trust of the bama coaching staff. I don't see how any SEC fan who has seen him play the last year and a half can honestly label him solely a 'game manager.'

I think Mett gets more than his fair shot at the NFL, however this year turns out for him and LSU. That arm will get him on a roster.

Not sold on Murray or JFF at next level either way. Could see both flourish or bust.

No question about that. Much will hinge on this. Couldnt get a clear read on this last year. Will be interesting to see how things play out this year with his own health but a much healthier team as a whole on the O side of the ball.

Disagree. Mett is a better prospect than Bo. Johnny may be better than AJ, but i think NFL teams will feel safer with AJ.
