People take this way too seriously. Who cares if Bama fans chant SEC(assuming they win)? Why do fans of other conferences ridicule it...because they hate it. I agree that it supports the South which is constantly dumped on by pop culture. Its a nice way to get under some elitist Big 10 skin.
