Actually, this is being driven by our mutual tv partner.

I think LSU would get Va Tech, Bama would get Miami, Tennessee would get NC State, Missouri would get Pitt, Auburn would get Virginia, A&M would get Syracuse, Arkansas would get ND (Holtz Bowl), Mississippi St would get Boston College (lol, I'd like to see the travel numbers in that series) and Ole Miss would get Duke in the Cutcliffe Bowl.

While I would love to see LSU beat that hokie arse every year. Tech is best suited for UTn.

AU-FSU: played a bunch in the past

AU- UVA: the schools shared some coaches and colors way back

AU-VT: could be fun

AU-NCSU: ok

AU-Miami: We could have a trophy made of gold depicting $100 handshakes

Maybe we could all pick 3 or 4 to rotate home and home.

I'd be ecstatic if we could play Miami every year

I would be for this. I'll take Va Tech, UVA, UNC, and Miami for LSU.
This is assuming FSU off the table.

Yeah, I mean nothing is preventing anyone from scheduling ACC teams.

Georgia is doing a home and home with the taterheads.

SCAR has been playing ACC teams, other than the taterheads, for years. NC State, Virginia, UNC, et al.

Don't think about it, just do it.

Eta: The only ACC program we'll refuse to schedule at SCAR is Miami. Goes back to the 80s and some heinous crap they pulled. The Brawl

Auburn somehow ends up with the school with the weakest branding?

no, its a GREAT idea for the SEC to let the ACC and to a lesser degree the Big 12 mooch of its success.

The Big 10 is looking for any opening it can find to suck up all the best schools in the ACC and everyone knows FSU/Clemson would go straight to the Big 12 if the ACC collapsed.

I'd rather have the ACC live than the Big 10 gobble up half its teams with the rest going Big12 or for Texas to get restless and detonate the Big 12 to join the Pac12 or Big10.

I'd rather not have permanent ones for the teams who don't have traditional/geographically sensible rivals. It would get tiring to play like North Carolina or Pittsburgh every year

I agree. If they started in 2016 they could calculate best records for past 5 years (2011-2015) and have have home/away matchups of best ot worst teams. Then in 2018 recalculate and do same ting. This would apply to the 16 teams (outside of Louisville/UK, UGA/GaTech, UF/FSU, SCar/Clemson).

Absolutely no interest in this idea. Might help the ACC, but see no value in it for the SEC. Certainly not in recruiting, and usually not in strength of schedule. FSU being the exception lately.
