Don't feel too bad for them. Most non-Alabama fans do actual things in their life to bring them happiness outside of watching strangers play a game.

I think it's the opposite. Bama fans shitpost because they know Saban is in the twilight of his career and when the best coach in cfb leaves, the desert Bama will pass through will be long and dry and make the sahara look like a rainforest.
Knowing that while Alabama wanders in the post-Saban era, LSU has won a natty with 2 consecutive coaches and will likely make it 3/3 with just an average hire, leads Bama fans to wear their fingers down to nubs furiously boasting while they still can.
