So we play USCe on the road and they get 31 free throws.

We play Arkansas on the road and they get 41 free throws.

We play Kentucky, Auburn and Florida at home and get a total of 35 free throws in three games.

Don't blame that on Grant. Well, maybe we can blame him, he doesn't know how to ride the refs and get the calls I guess.

Yea, the massive referee agenda against Alabama for 6 years is why we are roadkill. Yea, that's it!

Maybe it's because we pass the ball around the perimeter for 25 seconds and never draw contact? Could that be it? Maybe?

Seriously we almost never attack the basket. Everything is jump shots, threes, or occasionally trying to get it inside when most of the time our guy will be too far out from the basket to make an easy shot and then he'll miss the short hook or jumper.

So aggravating. That's all our offense ever is.

I was at the game tonight. Refs sucked bad. Also, Alabama has no inside presence, muscle, scoring, whatever you want to call it. Most possessions were simply passing the ball back and forth around the perimeter and then heaving up a shot as the clock expired.

I like Grant, but he has had plenty of time to field a solid team. He has failed.

Bama should get a good coach for their program. Like a Mark Gottfried from NC State.

Our leading scorer is afraid to put it on the floor. Randolph gives up way too many shots. Then we have other guys that can't shoot jacking up 3s.

I personally like CAG too, but Top 5 SEC Coach llllooooooooolllllllll

Who exactly would you rank behind him? These guys are clearly better

- Donovan
- Cal
- Pearl
- Stallings
- Martin

These guys are almost definitely better
- Tyndall
- Anderson
- Fox

These guys are at the very least his equal
- Jones
- Kennedy
- A. Kennedy

The only coaches who aren't or don't have enough to say are the guy at Mizzou and Ray. That's it.

Maybe someone can hack his facebook account and send some dirty messages to Terry Saban?

That's the best I got.

I am sure this team's play would make Robert Horry turn over in his grave if he was dead.

It may yet. If he's watching, he may die of a broken heart.

we just look totally unprepared and lost (and did against Auburn too).

Look at the bright side. Auburn will destroy Bama at their place in a few weeks so we got that going for us.

Gottfried's career at NC State is looking a lot like his career at Alabama - a big splash to mask what was otherwise the very definition of mediocrity. He got Bama to the Elite 8, but wrapped around that he missed the tourney in 5 of his 10 full seasons, only had winning conference records in 3 of 10 full seasons, and had an overall SEC record of 83-82.

At NC State, he made a splashy run to the Sweet 16 his first year, bowed out in the first round his second season, and lost in the first four play-in round last year. This season, he's sitting at 13-7 and 4-3 right now having beaten Duke but lost at home to Wofford and sits behind Georgia, aTm, LSU, and Ole Miss in RPI rankings. Unless they make a run, even the ACC 'bounce' probably doesn't get them in the tourney.

As painful as it is to say, I'd rather have Grant than Gottfried. While the games aren't pretty, at least with Grant you're probably going to win more SEC games than you lose and he's a lot more likeable - you'll just never be more than mediocre.
