As a Bama fan, my oldest daughter graduates May 10 from Ole Miss, then starts pharmacy school at Ole Miss in the fall...from what I've seen/been told by her, the college life there is like any other big SEC school

My daughter graduated at Ole Miss and had a wonderful time. She was very involved on campus has now graduated law school, and practicing law. She is now engaged to get married to a Mississippi State graduate So the family rivalries are always growing lol Make some new friends and you will enjoy your Saturdays there. My family and I have had a lot of great Saturdays in Baton Rouge also.

You can support your kid without giving up your LSU fan card. My daughter graduated from UCF and when the "national champions" played LSU in the Fiesta Bowl, "I told her I will love and support you except for the next 4 hours"

My son’ll play football for an SEC school not named LSU, most likely, but I’m not wearing their gear…ever. I graduated from LSU twice…and sure I want my son to win football games, but my putting on Ole Miss gear is out of the question.

I know where you are coming from, I love the Gators but would not want any of my grandchildren going to UF. Both of my sons attended Ole Miss, while not perfect, it is better than most.

You will be fine, in fact relieved, when you discover how safe she will be compared to BTR. Oxford is a great place to attend college. You can still be an LSU fan.

Oxford is such a great community. She will love her time at Ole Miss.

One of the best college campuses in one of the best college towns.

What’s not to like?

What’s wrong with UF? Seems nice enough on visits.

Welcome to the family. Ole Miss used to be a real bargain for out of state students, and I would imagine its still the same. She will have a blast and get a good education if she wants.

To be honest, I don’t wear LSU clothes either…I sure as hell am not going ti dork it up for another school. Friends at tailgates always gave me shite for dressing normal to LSU games…but I did buy a hat one game since it was raining…still have it too.

The women at A&M have been pretty loose every time I've been there.

But based on the type of guys I saw walking around College Station, I understand the thirst.

As an Oxford resident, make sure you take the time to teach her how to drive through round-a-bouts. The city is in love with installing them wherever possible. When each new freshman class comes in, there's so many wrecks because they don't seem to understand the concept of round-a-bouts, as well as not understanding the concept on how to merge onto a highway.

She'll be fine though. Oxford is a great town and she'll enjoy her time here.

I know Texas boosters sending their kids to A&M. You have to send them where they want to go. I’m lucky that both of mine went to school in CO.

State tuition is so much cheaper.

That is so sexist, and degrading to women.
