bama fans are a different breed.
look at the ratings for cfb games. birmingham is always near the top no matter who's playing. the people are simply insane about football.
what i find funny is that people are just starting to realize just how sick some of their fans are. this has been going on for years.

In fairness, I will say this: people come to New Orleans and act in ways they'd never act at home. Ways they won't tell the folks back home about because they'd be ashamed to. You can see it in the FQ on any given weekend the Saints are hosting another NFL team.
That being said, Bama fans are still a special breed of crazy. It's just football, for crying out loud.

I had no clue who the guy was. Thought he may be a former coach or something, as I found it odd there was a line.
Saw the line, walked around for a good 20 minutes, came back, and there was still a line, so I asked.
Also found out from another person a little further up in the line that HU wasn't supposed to be at the game, but a bunch of Bama boosters got together and funded the trip, complete with tix, hotel rooms and transportation to NOLA so their hero could go to the game.
Oh the things I saw that day....I could seriously write a novel on it. Truly amazing. Also stayed at a hotel with nothing but Bama fans. The things I saw/heard there were glorious. LOL.

It's kinda hilarious. Gumps are really trying hard to come up with their best "ALL FANS ARE CRAZY" links but nothing comes close to the tree killer, the tea bagger, iron bowl shooter and mosh mom.
