Mr. diddydirtyAubie, I must ask: What does it feel like to be the first SECw team not named Ole Miss to be grinded on?

Fair enough.

Did we really just get beat by a team with an all time winning percentage less than .500?

Because obviously Russell hasn't improved since last year in an offense suited for his talents.

He's improved, but he's also faced cupcake and an AU defense that was playing 10 yds off every play. AU's defense has been suspect to passing attacks for Years. It also helps when your coach prepares all spring, summer, and fall for that game.

Neither pressured him and he showed in both he has a problem with pocket awareness. Let's see how he does when there is a blanket over his WR's. Which several SEC secondaries can do.

So until then, yes you're still state and still 4th at best in the west

They may have Wilson this week, dude

If their defense doesn't improve it won't make a difference.

If that's the only response you have then either you agree, or can't come up with a statistic to prove me wrong.

Hate to bust your bubble Memphis but you didn't post any stats either. Auburn's d ends got some pressure on him and he handled it well, it's hard to "blanket" a receiving core that has 9 guys catching passes. I don't know how good we will be as I don't know how bad auburn is; however, I do know that aTm and Arky are winnable games. Nothing against UT but we are still talking about the team who got curb-stomped by Kentucky last year. I won't be sold on them until after this weekend. State has a very favorable schedule and as of right now appears to have made a lot of improvement with Russell leading the offense and Young guys stepping up on defense.

You know what? State is State. And that State is pretty god damn good this year.

Pretty god damn good?

Being the sixth most talented team at best in the SEC is good, but not "pretty god damn good" by any means.

I'm pretty sure they'll wind up third in the West.

I agree, but TAMU could give them a run for 3rd if its defense improves.

Wilson isn't going to be the savior of Arkansas. I honestly think they'll be very lucky to win 7 games.

Even with Wilson in the game they looked very bad in many aspects of the game. Him playing will win them a few games against crappier opponents.

Also, look at the beating the ULM Dline put on him. What do think a Dline like Bama's or any other competent SEC team will do to him? I'm not wishing injury on him by any means, but I have a hard time seeing him making it through the season, unless O line play improves.

It's hard to tell since Awbun is so pitiful. LSU will put at least 50 points on Awbun.

I seem to remember that same team nearly losing to Ole Miss, Vandy and one other last year, but they won. The only games they were out matched and out classed in were LSU/Bama.

Arkansas will bounce back. May not be like the year before, but I have a hard time believing they don't win 9-10 games

Vandy was a decent team that played a lot of good teams close.

Ole Miss was a fluke it was Nutt's super bowl and he had them actually ready while Arkansas overlooked them the first half.

And last year was a Petrino coached team. You are blind if you can't see the differences in the team this year and last. The O line is terrible, Wilson gets hammered and Davis can't run without blocking. They lost their good WR's from last year. Defense is all around bad. They won't win more than 7.

We will make believers outta people before the season is over. We had better players than Auburn. Even with their great recruiting classes. There was a big difference in overall talent. Aub LB and Dbs would not make States 2nd string.. This is Mullens best team so far. The Best Defense we have had since Sherrill. This aint yo Daddy's MSU.

LSU scored 1 offensive TD on State last year & we're only better this year. Get real slick.
