Fair enough. I'm not selling Ark short. I think you guys have enough talent to be dangerous next season. You likely won't win many SEC games, but you could win any one of them (assuming you find a way to get competent QB play).

The majority of this class is expected to redshirt next season, no more than 7 or so are expected to be TF contributors.

The O-line class was a good haul, the D-linemen signed add depth with some good players.

We needed WRs, got them, more height and speed than we had last year, more numbers as we only had 4 WRs return (IIRC) and the best one was injured last year.

We didn't "need" a RB, but got a good one anyway. He is Cedric Cobb's cousin if you remember that guy, runs similar to him as well.

Picked up another good QB prospect, he will redshirt, most likely but he and 4 other QBs will go through the spring together, best one will start. Brandon Allen's shoulder injury (3rd game) effected his play more than anything, but now he will have more guys to throw the ball too as well.

We needed LBs, no impact players signed at that position, but we've never been able to get them. CBB has signed more of them in 2 years than Petrino did the prior 4.

Needed some help in the secondary, got some, redshirted some last year as well.

We have another DT coming in for a visit who has offers from Arkansas, Oregon, Wake, Louisville, Harvard, etc. He shouldn't have a problem qualifying.

We needed another TE like Henry, picked up a TE who is more of a blocking TE, but still have a scholarship available if a TE who was thought to e a qualifying risk does get things in order to qualify for this fall, he didn't sign with a school yesterday. If he doesn't make it, we have an extra scholly to use next year.

So you admit, you can expect the same results, 2-14 in league over the next two years....pigs gonna pigs

If we lose an entire recruiting class(26 players)like we have since Petrino left, yes we will get the same results.

I dont see Bert recruiting risk guys like Petrino did.

The reason we won 2 SEC games the last two years is because of no depth. Arrests, transfers, kicked off team....same shite Petrino left for Kragthorpe at Louisville.

So by that token you don't think Kragthorpe deserved to be fired at Louisville considering his record there?

He was given a top10 team with the ability to build up on that in recruiting.

He showed to be marginally better than JLS.

Sr. Assistant HC

Apparently will allow him to continue to have more time recruiting than if he was DC. Granted this wasn't the response you wanted so... ZOMG WTF NO RS AS DC? Happy?

To break the class down further....our needs....OL, LB, S, CB, WR, K, DL

How needs were addressed....

Offensive Line

4* Frank Ragnow- Picked Arkansas over Minn, FSU. #3 player in his state.
4* Brian Wallace- picked Arkansas over Bama. #1 player in his state.
3* Javon Pruitt- picked Arkansas over Oklahoma. #29 OT
3* Sebastian Tretola- #8 OT in JUCO. Picked Arkansas over Oklahoma.

Linebacker

3* Randy Ramsey- picked Ark over NC State
3* Kahlia Hackett- Projected as safety but grew 2" and 25 LBs since committing to us. Picked Ark over Ga Tech, Wiscy
3* Dwayne Eugene- picked Ark over Arizona. Louisiana kid that committed early.

Safety

Signed Josh Lidell from in state with a late push from UGA, and Santos Ramirez who selected Arkansas over TCU, Baylor, and LSU

Cornerback

Signed Chris Murphy who picked Hogs over Mizzou, Okla State, Arizona, Louisville, and WVU. Signed Henre Tolliver out of Louisiana who picked Hogs over Oklahoma, Miss State, Nebraska. Also signed Cornelius Floyd, who picked Hogs over Oklahoma.

Wide Reciever

Probably met our needs and then some. Signed JoJo Robinson who had been committed to FSU for a year and chose Hogs over LSU, TCU, and Auburn. Kendrick Edwards a 6'6" prospect who chose Arkansas over Louisville, Cincy. Jared Cornelius, chose Hogs over Mizzou and TCU. Impressive highlight tape out of Evangel in LA. Cody Hollister, JUCO possession WR will help with depth.

Kicker

Cole Hedlund- Best kicker in country. 1st team Parade All American. Held offers from Texas and Texas A&M. Stuck with Hogs.

Defensive Line

Signed #4 DT in Bijohn Jackson. Signed #1 DT in Missouri. Signed DE Anthony Brown who chose Arkansas over Miss State. DE Jake Hall, #1 DE in our state, and AP defensive lineman of year in 7A.

Good post Hawgeye, though I'll say Santos Ramirez didn't pick us over LSU. He had an LSU offer but it was conditional, and they filled up their DB slots with guys higher up their board (reading between the lines and based on what LSU fans report).

I think we mostly filled our needs, but would have liked to do better at LB and TE. Other than that I'm pretty satisfied considering our 4-8 and 3-9 seasons and our very strong 2015 recruiting start.

What is everyone's obsession with Bielema lately? I didn't look at your class or give a frick. Kind of strange but keep on keeping on.

great class? NO
decent class as far as filling needs? YES

I addressed this in depth with my hog brethren on the Arky board so I won't rehash all my opinions.
No it doesn't look flashy compared to most of the SEC.... but very few of our classes ever really have. I think we met some needs, began to build some depth at key positions, and put together a serviceable class that could turn out to be pretty good before they are done.
BB and staff have already started the groundwork on a really good class for next year and hopefully a few more wins on the field will make our next one elite. Time will tell.
last time I checked, they don't hand out National Championships on signing day.....
