Nope shark boy gets another year simply because he's won the east twice

LOL. You dorks think he's possible at UT. Drink up dreamer, you're running dry. He's much more likely to be at your rival, kicking your arse yearly.

I don't think so. I, sadly, think Mac gets another year of putting our offense in the 5th percentile nationally.

It will take him a few years to get the hunger back.

He's a great guy and a very good (not great) coach.

However, the game has passed him by but at least he had the courage to take himself out and let the younger folks move up.

There are a ton of talented coordinators out there that can get the job done at the next level.

I like McElwain, and hoped he'd do well at UF, but I just don't think he's going to be able to do it. One reason is he's just not a great recruiter.

If UF loses to UGA and FSU, both good possibilities, I think he may be out. Best to cut your loss when you can. Stoops may not be available after next season.

It's possible and if your into conspiracies then it could seem more likely. He was the D.C. Years ago and it's odd he quit before this season. If Mac is fired before the season ends then this becomes a big rumor.

I could naturally be wrong, but I think UF is probably one of the few places that could lure him back into coaching right now, and who could blame any coach for that, let alone one that had success there already. After all, there are more blue chip athletes in the state of Florida than any other, though as a Bammer, it doesn't make me all warm and fuzzy to think UF may be great.

For the record, I agree with you that Stoops is a very good and not great head coach, but at UF, that's probably good enough.

I don't know how our new AD is going to react to an inept offense for 3 years in a row and losing to two OK teams at home back to back.

That's not going to go over well in their review.
