He’s terrible. Probably a nice guy but his schtick is over the top.

He was good in the 80's and 90's but his schtick got old. He got way too full of himself.

If you read the IARP report, they found no evidence that he paid any players. Wade was fired because he followed his lawyer's advice and refused to meet with Scott Woodward to discuss the NCAA's allegations; however, Wade and his lawyer took the same approach with the NCAA, just like Kansas and Bill Self did.
NCAA: "We have reason to believe that you made improper payments to your players."
Wade and his Lawyer: "Prove it."
NCAA: "Well, we need documentation from you to prove it, but we have no subpoena power."
Wade and his Lawyer: "Sucks to be you."
Kansas and Self took the same approach, but in a unified manner, and Self is still the coach. Woodward folded like a cheap suit.

I looked for the commercial or a gif where DV was dribbling a basketball. The look on his face always made me laugh. Don't search Dick Vitale gif at work it only pulls up porn.
