The best team was Cam Newton’s.

He was certainly the best player that year. I would even argue that he is a top 2 all time college qb next to Vince Young. Nick Fairly was bright spot on that defense but I recall they did give up a lot of points. Newton was always able to keep up with the offense. Top 10 team of all time, but not number one SEC all time team.

No way is 2010 Auburn a top ten all-time team. They won way too many close games in which they barely escaped.

Another Bama queer that jerks off nightly to his Bear Bryant and Saban posters on the wall.

Both get an asterisk.

LSU has the multiple scandals including paying players that will invalidate 2019

Bama has the Covid year title.

Winning the title during Covid is more impressive.

I know, instead of overcvoming the situation and the adversity like Bama did, LSU folded like a cheap suit and many of their best players quit on them like the bitches they truly are.

It is simple:

LSU 2019 is the greatest college football team of all time.

Bama 2020 is the greatest COVID college football team of all time.

Congrats to both teams on their accomplishments.

I've never heard anyone claim Alabama 2020 was in the discussion. During the covid year? Give me a break.

I love to troll LSU fans, but each season is different and it's almost impossible to compare teams from different years due to the fact that nothing is ever quite the same from year to year. However, I will say that I was correct in the fact that seasons like the one 2019 LSU's offense had will become the norm as elite teams continue to recruit more offensive talent onto their rosters. Add to that the fact that offenses are becoming more dynamic and within the next few years you will see a QB rival the season Joe Burrow had in 2019. Mac Jones had 4,500 passing yards in 13 games last season. If he had had those two extra games Joe Burrow had, he would have likely finished with well over 5,000 yards.

Especially having two extra games against non-Power 5 competition like LSU had in 2019.

True, but 2019 was much more like 1946-2018 than 2020 was. 2020 was clearly a much different situation. The only thing that comes close for NCAA football is some of the WWII seasons, and nobody gives a shite about those.

LSU cared enough to fire half your coaching staff. What's up with that?

1945 Army is widely regarded as one of the greatest college football teams of all-time. You’re under the mistaken assumption that Covid made things easier for teams like Alabama. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
