Plus, when you're a competitor you have no quit no matter the score.

You must've not read my post above yours. Les quit in the BCS National Championship a few years ago if that's how you're looking at things.

And Les Miles makes ZERO sense. He said he just couldn't punt there on 4th and 28 and wanted to do something on offense. Yet, in the BCS Championship Game a few years ago, Miles punted it down 21-0 on 4th and 9 with three minutes left to play. How he punted that ball I'll never know. This year with a guy almost getting killed at QB, he decides to go on 4th and 28. There is not a lot of rational thought there.

I had that exact same thought last night.

I gained a lot of respect for Mett last night. Lost a little respect for Miles and decided y'all to fire Studrawa.

The LSU OL looked lazy and lost and just flat out fricking quit at the end.

I really hope Mett is okay - he got rocked on that first sack in the first half and was gimpy all game. No excuse to go for it on 4th and a mile with no shot to win, especially after three big sacks in a row.

I'll be honest, our OL didn't quit on Mett. They were getting whipped all game really. The way they were playing the sacks were inevitable. Our OL was outclassed from the first whistle to the last.

No, things looked fine for a good portion of the game. We were running well and passing well for a while. After the fake punt, things seemed to change. The offensive drives after that showed them getting outclassed.

Yeah, the line was doing okay for a while, but when Mett did get hit, he got rocked and driven into the ground on that play.

My issue is that he gave Mett an empty backfield after getting sacked 3 times in a row. Put Copeland or someone back there to give him some protection.

Mett didn't deserve that. That video was kinda sad. Mett walks by Milew and half the team with only a few people acknowledging his presence. He just took a beating and left it on the field. I would have expected some teammates or coaches to come talk to him and give him a pat on the back.

Missed that
That is weird, you'd think the title game would've been the same. Maybe Miles has questioned himself since that punt against 2011 Bama. Who knows? Only the insects in the grass probally know what Miles is thinking......

So he was supposed to take his starting qb out and not win the game?

That just shows how little team chemistry LSU has.

Blows my mind. That was pathetic. Mett has my respect. I would be furious if I was him. They just ignore him after he takes a pointless beating.

I'm slightly angry myself.

He was down by 21 points...
with 2 minutes to go...
on 4th and 28...
on his own 31 yard line...

Props to Mett for walking off when it looked like it really hurt to. But he is a bitch because this game and last game he ran straight to the lockerroom when the game was over and didn't shake hands with the players. Classless douche.

Yeah, like I said, there isn't a lot of logical thought there sometimes. How about a screen or something to keep the pressure off on an earlier down when the house is being sent? It ain't rocket science.

Didn't see that.

That's unfortunate. Always good to see players shake hands after a hard fought game.

About like McCarron running down the sidelines crying to the refs when Loston made a hit that was obviously going to be called anyway

I'm for going on 4th and 57 down 21 on your own 20 if it's within three scores, but if the D is teeing off on your senior QB who could have a pro career at stake, then you have to maybe tweak your strategy.

Read the guy I quoted again. You and I are making the same point.

I didn't notice, but I don't like that. Payton Manning did that when the Saints beat him in the Super Bowl. It was mostly kept hush-hush because he's Payton Manning.
