I had several gay make and female friends in New Orleans. You can't get involved in the arts/music/parade scene without knowing many, down there. Not to mention groups of straight chicks that like going into gay bars. I've had gay people help me meet and hook up with women (not named Caitlyn) on several occasions. And of course, if you I want to have a cool parade during Mardi Gras, there's going to be gay people helping with everything from the floats to tried to music.

But if it bothers someone, I love making the jokes and watching them squirm. But it is a little unfair of me, considering I grew up in large cities with a very socially progressive family. So I met gay people and was taught that it's no big deal. I could see how someone growing up in rural southern areas believing the worst. Bigotry tends to disappear when everyone lives amongst each other. In a diverse place, you start noticing that there are more similarities than differences between races and people with different lifestyles.

I was actually planning on going to the Bama game in college station this year, but my boss just told me that I have to come back to Colorado since we have too much work, so I'm no longer in Texas.

And while I'm glad to be home, I was looking forward to checking out Kyle Field. I was even thinking about doing another bumper sticker prank like I did in Knoxville a couple years ago. I even had a sticker design ready to go. But if I'm gonna drop a G on a trip, and use what pto I have, I'm going out of country to a place with cold drinks and hot women.
