Because Texas was a well-earned 2 and the NCAA wanted a UT-A&M matchup in the Round of 32.

He’s not wrong per say. Same with baseball last year. We were in the Stanford regional so we could cross paths with them. In basketball this season before our losing streak, we were in the same region and projected to play horn if we both got out the first round. I get it’s a game that people want to watch, it’s just funny how basketball and baseball tried to force the match up.
