The rest of the season would dictate I would think. If Tide finishes poorly, still a good win. If Tide finsihes with 10 or more wins, hats off to Hoke, proving himself a fine coach.
In Bammer land all losses are flukes. They have never been beaten in 100 years. They gave the game away because (fill-in-the-blank). For instance:
Total Yards 239 295
Possession 29:54 30:06
isn't the stats of a close game decided by kicking,it's the stats of a fluke not seen since...well, the last fluke. This mentality is unalterable, don't bother discussing.
For Tide fans, they'll give credit where credit is due.

A bowl win would have been great but the 4th conference title in 11 years is very good. I'm very optimistic about the club making it #5 in 12 years.

Its different though.. how many of those were underclassmen that were important starters?
Losing seniors that were part of the worst run in your programs history =/= losing 1st and 2nd round juniors

What does the talent level of players have to do with the initial point of "gelling"? So replacing stars with good talent makes it harder to gel than replacing subpar talent for players that couldn't beat the sub par talent out?
