Why would any rational coach prefer college over pro ball right now except money?
More hours
Huge resource discrepancies
Have to recruit basically 24/7/365
Have to re-recruit your entire team to keep them from leaving
NIL discrepancies
Have to deal with boosters
Have to deal with immature 18-22 YOs
You churn 1/3 or more of your roster every year now
I’d take half the money as a coordinator in the NFL to not deal with that.

I suspect that this will start happening more often unless the portal/NIL stuff gets fixed
