Gus is a fine man, and excellent coach. Honest as the day is long. He invented the Wildcat. Plus he taught the hurry up offense to Sam Wyche and Marv Levy.

bullshite. The vast majority of AU fans said last year's team was capped at an NIT appearance, with most of the others saying they'd make neither. Add in the injuries and the issue with AU's best player on roster not getting qualified due to ACT dragging their feet, the season went as well as it could have.

Gus has nothing better to do. It's not like he needs to recruit a QB or anything. Besides, he was scouting some of those girls for linebacker. Pearl is just hoping somebody calls to get him the hell out of there.

They weren't a bad team at all around the time conference play started, but all those events came together to form a complete collapse at the end.
