I saw that segment and just thought "wow, I'm glad I've never been a part of anything that gay. Especially with millions watching when we're supposed to be establishing respect for our school in our new conference."

If you're still embarrassed by the yell, then I wonder how long the shite-show called UT football will linger after being subjected to Dooley/Kiffin.

Read your quote over again. Makes zero sense.

I didnt think the A+M male cheerleaders looked bad in that segment

That's been my point in this entire thread--the nonsensical, insecure nature of it all.
I run across it in Mississippi regularly.
People always want to tell you how much they "have," how they're not from The Delta, that they can afford to purchase a Yeti Cooler, what model car they drive, etc.
And in essence, that's how these threads go.
These slappies are hellbent on stumbling over each other to tell you whose school is coolest, who's gay, how lame others' traditions are, what rivalries are best, that they would never be caught doing anything but drinking on the days before games, etc.
It's kinda fascinating, actually.
Insecurity.

A&M's yell cheer doesn't bother me one bit. If those guys are gay, then who the frick cares? Most of those guys on the yell team also participate in some sport other than football. Most of the yell leaders probably belong to the wrestling team. My point is this, what's the difference between the yell leaders and the male cheerleaders at other schools? Who in this thread would be willing to use a megaphone and lead cheers using hand motions? I don't care if female cheerleaders are present, the thing is that you're a young man who runs around the field leading cheers. My biggest complaint is watching grown men waving pom poms on national TV. I see Bama, LSU,etc. waving those things, but I don't remember seeing A&M shaking pom poms. If they wave pom poms, please provide a link.

Absolutely.
I'd suggest you avoid any/all Yell Practices.
Very Texas Aggie-centric.

I understand it's unusual. But, at least, don't judge it off of what you saw in that awkward scene. This link is more representative of yell practice in its intended setting.
