How does 2 losses = fire Les Miles? LSU has to have the most spoiled fanbase in existance. Not sure why their expectations are so high though.

Just wait until Saban is no longer at Bama.

If Les finishes the year with 2 losses he wont be fired. People want him fired because we've had the same issues with the exception of 2013, and we've declined in areas we used to dominate. Thank you for your interest in the LSU program.

I legitimatley am interested. More in the culture than the program itself. All I really know now is once the corndogs are sold out, everyone leaves the stadium.

Normally yes, but he has been at LSU for a while and some fans are not happy to settle for 9-10 win seasons as a result.

Could it end up being a mistake? Sure but sometimes you got to shake it up if Championships are what you expect. There is a good selection of coaches available and some ready to jump to a program like LSU.

I'm sure it doesn't make sense to some, but overall I understand if that is the way LSU fans want to happen.

Back to back arse whoopings by a school with a massive recruiting disadvantage really fricks with your head sometimes.

declined

There's that word again.
You guys aren't 'declining' you are just experiencing the life of every other football program sans Alabama and Ohio State.

If you fire Les, there's no guarantee you will find a coach who will bring half the success that he has brought that program.
Maybe you guys will get lucky and make a home run hire, or maybe you'll hire the HC equivalent of Kevin Steele.

I fully expect we will take a step back once Les is fired. Sometimes you need to go back in order to move forward. I'm prepared for that and ok with it if that's the direction we go. Personally I think Les deserves next year unless we lose out.

Been trying to get this through to my relatively sensible LSU friends/family. Like beating my head against a brick wall. They just have too many delusions of grandeur; I give up.

I'm not sure why Sumlin is making $5 million a year either.
No, I don't think LSU should fire Miles. Not one losing record, was 7-0 two weeks ago, #2 in initial poll and lost to best team in country in Bama followed by a tough turnaround against Hogs who are physical and now Ole Miss coming off bye. It is toughest stretch of season. Knowing Alleva though, it would not shock me, but he better be careful because a football hire is really the only thing you don't have to make

I'm fine with Sumlin making $5 mil. It's his buyout that I don't like. We had to lock him down though. He isn't gonna take any other jobs because of it.
