Why now? Barn got to stack some top 10 talent for their title run, can we get another one or two first before you raise the bar?

before joining the SEC, everyone said we'd be a doormat and had no chance for success

2 years later:

11-6 SEC record
top 5 finish
heisman trophy winner
2-0 in bowl games
Currently #6 in 2015 recruiting (losing a 5* WR due to our depth) with two top 10 classes before that

I'd say we're doing OK for doormats

I will be honest here my man. If I was getting the recruiting classes, rebuilding the stadium, winning on the national stage, out of Texas shadow, and all the press coming their way I would be all up in your face with it myself.

I really don't see anything wrong being amped about what is happening to TAMU. Everyone thought we should be quiet after the 2012 season. I said frick that and predicted 14-0 and a National Championship in 2013(Frick off FSU). My point is who gives damn?

Come on, cardboardboxer.
Any school worth a lick would've won a national championship during its first two years under a new coach ... as a brand new member of the most competitive conference in the nation ... in the most wicked division in sports.
OP clearly thought we were world-beaters, and we've let him down.
I feel as though we owe him an apology.

apologies for talking big time smack to all SEC members would be more appropriate.
Yeah, you let me down, but I can take it (Im an Auburn fan). But judging the number of responses to my OP, aTm fans might not be so well equipped. Gig em

Problem is what you define a big time? Very few AGS really predicted a national title this year. I was an outlier with my double digit win prediction. Most just said we would be competitive and go to a so-so bowl.

And the Rant's response was:

" Not Uhhhhh! You lost your best two players EVER and you only beat ______ by _______ . You are not going to a bowl next year and we won't give up until you accept that!"

Actually the Rants response was more like

I just articulated the sum of the non-argument. And it was either accept it or get laughed off the planet.

Sorry? We've never won anything, we never will. We are not worthy. We've gotten our shite pushed in just like we were supposed to. Sorry our excitement of being mediocre again was annoying.

That is what it comes down to. Only three parts of the underclass celebrate mediocrity- us, the pigs and the grinders. The pigs we the bigger threat so they got push back. Now the bigger threat is us.

So nothing we did before the year 2012 counts? Once again, interesting thought process

pretty much, titles are non transferable...DWI. nobody here is impressed with anything you did in that crap conference. hell the SEC has 10 teams that could win it every year.
